Yerba Buena Gardens
Park Rules & Regulations

Yerba Buena Gardens is open daily from sunrise till 10pm. To provide the safety and well being of the general public, behavior that could endanger people, damage property or prevent others from enjoying the Gardens is prohibited.

In order to keep the Gardens enjoyable for everyone,
the following uses are not allowed:

  • Smoking
  • Littering
  • Swimming, Wading or Bathing
  • Climbing
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Animals (except companion animals or certified guide dogs)
  • Feeding of birds and animals
  • Riding bicycles
  • Flying kites
  • Team sports
  • No wheeled conveyances including: skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, and carts
  • Any violation of the San Francisco Park Code

  • West Mission St. Ramp
  • East Mission St. Ramp
  • 3rd St. Ramp (next to 3rd St. Fountain)
  • Howard St. Walkway between YBCA Theater and Moscone North
  • Howard St. Bridge (both ends)
  • West Martin Luther King, Jr. Fountain Stairway
  • Yerba Buena Gardens Carousel Plaza
  • Zeum Forecourt
  • Zeum/Child Care Center 4th St. Stairway
  • Child Care Center at Folsom St. Stairway
  • Ice Skating Rink Elevator
